MARTÍN PÉREZ DE SOLAY (I.ENG)

Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Mr Pérez de Solay is a qualified industrial engineer with a career spanning engineering, operational improvement, banking, finance and executive management.

Mr Pérez de Solay was formerly the President and CEO of Petroleos Sudamericanos, an oil and gas producer operating in Argentina and Colombia, where he oversaw new operations and assets and led major stakeholder initiatives.

Prior to 2011, Mr Pérez de Solay was CFO and head of Corporate Development of GeoPark, an oil and gas operator in Argentina and Chile. He was a key member of the Geopark executive team that established its asset base and subsequently listed the company on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

Mr Pérez de Solay joined Geopark from Citigroup where he had spent a decade in institutional, corporate and restructuring activities.

NEIL KAPLAN  (BACC, CA)

Chief Financial Officer

Mr Kaplan has over 25 years of experience in senior managerial and finance positions obtained on 4 different continents. His experience in the resources sector was attained working in executive financial roles for Glencore and formerly TSX listed company Coalcorp Mining, both based in Colombia.

Mr Kaplan holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and is a member of both the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) and South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

JOHN SANDERS (LLB (Hons), GAICD)

General Counsel & Joint Company Secretary

Mr Sanders is a senior corporate lawyer with over 25 years experience, having held legal and commercial roles in top tier law firms and international resource companies.

He has a broad range of experience in corporate governance, international mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation and implementing resource projects. Mr Sanders has previously worked for Herbert Smith Freehills, King and Wood Mallesons in Perth and Clifford Chance in London, as well as acting as senior in-house counsel at Woodside Energy and Hess Exploration Australia.

RICK ANTHON  (BA LLB)

Corporate Development & Joint Company Secretary

Mr Anthon is a lawyer with over 30 years experience in both corporate and commercial law practicing exclusively in the resource sector.

He has worked both as a director and adviser to numerous resource companies and has extensive skills in project planning, acquisition and development, capital raising and corporate governance.

HERSEN PORTA (C.ENG)

Head of Argentina Operations

Mr Porta is a qualified chemical engineer with over 30 years experience in the chemicals industry, specialising in process engineering, production, process control and quality performance.

Mr Porta moved into site management and operations Director roles over his 28 year tenure at the Dow Chemical Company. From 2015 he held the role of General Manager and President of Cabot Corporation in Argentina and from 2019 was Chief Operating Officer at Orocobre Limited.

This wide variety of roles at industry leading international companies has provided experience not only in Argentina, but also Brazil and Canada.

KEITH MULLER (B.ENG, MMinEng)

Head of Asia Pacific Operations

Mr Muller is a qualified mining engineer with almost 20 years of global experience across multiple commodity mines. Mr Muller has held several leadership roles specialising in strategic and operational planning and mine management with a successful track record in achieving continuous improvements in production, cost and safety.

Previous roles include General Manager of Mt Cattlin at Galaxy Resources Limited and Operations Manager at SIMEC – Australia.

DENIS COUTURE (B.Sc ChE, P. ENG)

Head of Canadian Operations

Mr Couture is a qualified engineer with over 25 years of mining experience in Canada, specialising in operations in Northern Quebec where he worked for over a decade, including the James Bay territory.

Previous roles include Vice President and General Manager of Ausenco and Project Manager of SNC-Lavalin in Montreal where he gained significant project execution experience.

Mr Couture has also managed projects in various commodities and regions and has held leadership roles at Agnico-Eagle Mines and BHP.

ILEANA FREIRE (BA SOCIOL, MHR)

Chief Human Resources Officer

Ms Freire has over 25 years experience in Human Resources, specialising in Talent Management, Organisational Culture and Change and Reward & Recognition.

She has performed several managerial roles at Citibank over 12 years, was HR director at Johnson & Johnson for the Southern Cluster and was HR Business Partner for several product lines within Latin America.

In 2015 she consulted for several organisations such as Adidas Argentina, Pluspetrol, Telecom, Johnson & Johnson and ITBA.

CHRISTIAN CORTES (BACC, CA, EMBA)

Chief Sales & Marketing Officer

Mr Cortes has nearly 20 years of international business experience across professional services, resources, and chemical products industries gained in Australia, North and South America.

He commenced his career as a chartered accountant with PwC, working with large ASX-listed companies for over a decade in audit, business performance and transaction support. Mr Cortes later joined Orocobre Limited and was most recently Director of Finance and Administration where he was responsible for procurement and also marketing the Company’s lithium products, working closely with JV partner Toyota Tsusho Corporation.

GUILLERMO CALO (Bsc Systems)

Mr Calo has over 17 years of corporate management experience in the minerals industry in Argentina and more broadly in South America, specialising in operations and stakeholder relations.

Previous roles include Executive Director and President of Barick Gold Corporation’s Argentinian subsidiaries and Regional President or the Company’s South American Business Unit.

More recently Mr Calo was General Manager – Argentina at Galaxy Resources Limited.

ANDREW BARBER (BSC (Hons), GRAD DIP Finance & Investment)

Chief Investor Relations Officer

Mr Barber commenced his career as a geologist with Mt Isa Mines for 7 years. He later joined Perpetual Investments in Sydney, Australia as a Resources Analyst which was the start of over 11 years in the funds management industry.

Mr Barber also worked with Queensland investment Corporation (QIC) in Brisbane where he covered a wide variety of industrial and resources companies.

Since 2008, Mr Barber has utilised his extensive experience in the equity markets combined with a solid technical base to provide investor relations and business development services to a variety of companies including Arrow Energy, Bow Energy and Stanmore Coal.
